Been maining Shen for three seasons now with around 500k mastery points, and I gotta share my experience with Frozen Shen since everyone keeps asking about it in Discord. This skin completely changed how I play certain matchups, and not just because it looks clean.
The Q empowered autos feel way smoother compared to base Shen, especially when you're trying to CS under tower. I swear the animation cancel on his E taunt feels more responsive too, which matters when you're threading the needle between minions for that flash taunt combo. During a baron fight yesterday, I landed a five man taunt that I probably would've whiffed on Pulsefire because the hitbox visibility is just cleaner on Frozen. His ult shield looks sick with that ice effect, and teammates actually notice when you're ulting them faster than with TPA or Warlord.
Compared to other Shen skins like Infernal or Yellow Jacket, Frozen just hits different in teamfights. The blue tint makes it easier to track yourself when things get chaotic, and I think the sword recall animation is less clunky when you need to reposition it quickly. It's purely cosmetic but somehow makes me play better, maybe because I'm not tilted by janky animations anymore. Worth the 520 RP if you play Shen regularly, though it's not gonna make you suddenly pop off if you're new to him.
Is Frozen Shen worth it? For anyone who plays him more than occasionally, absolutely. It won't diff your lane opponent alone, but the cleaner feel adds up over hundreds of games. Should you buy Frozen Shen over his other options? If you want consistency over flashiness, this is the one.
