Freljord Sylas

Grabbed Freljord Sylas from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock PROJECT or Lunar Wraith. After about 35 games though, this skin's grown on me in ways I didn't see coming.

The Q chains feel noticeably smoother compared to base Sylas, especially when you're weaving them between autos during trades. His W animation has this crisp ice effect that makes it easier to track in teamfights, which actually helped me secure a kill on their fed Jinx during a messy dragon fight yesterday. She flashed but I could still see my heal connecting through all the chaos. And the ult steal animation is probably the cleanest out of all his skins, with this blue frost effect that makes it super obvious when you've successfully yoinked someone's R. Compare this to PROJECT where everything's neon and sometimes gets lost in the visual noise.

Is Freljord Sylas worth it? For 1350 RP it's definitely not just a cosmetic upgrade. The clearer hitbox indicators on E2 have saved me from inting into tower dives more than once. PROJECT still has better sound effects and Lunar Wraith looks cooler overall, but Freljord wins on clarity alone. My experience with Freljord Sylas has been surprisingly positive for a skin I never planned to use.

If you're a Sylas main looking for competitive edge over style points, this one's actually worth considering. The visual clarity makes it borderline pay-to-win in clustered fights. Maybe wait for it to go on sale if you're not in a rush, but compared to other Sylas skins, this one delivers where it counts.
