Faerie Court Tristana was my reward after hitting Diamond for the first time this season, and after 80 games with it, I'm genuinely torn about whether it lives up to the hype. The skin transforms our yordle gunner into this ethereal fairy creature that honestly feels like playing a different champion sometimes.
The W jump animation is probably the cleanest I've seen on any Tristana skin, with this butterfly trail that makes spacing way easier to judge compared to base. Her E bomb has these glowing petals that stack up visually, and I've noticed enemies respect it more in lane trades because the explosion radius feels more obvious. But what really sold me was using the ult during a baron fight last week. The knockback has this satisfying fairy dust effect that somehow makes it feel more responsive than Dragon Trainer, which I mained for two years. My support actually commented that they could track my position better in teamfights because of the distinct color palette.
Compared to other Tristana skins like Bewitching or Hextech, Faerie Court sits in this weird spot where it's beautiful but maybe too distracting at first. The recall animation where she floats with butterflies is insane quality for 1350 RP, though I still think Dragon Trainer offers better value overall. Is Faerie Court Tristana worth it? For Trist mains who want something fresh without sacrificing clarity, absolutely. The skin isn't pay to win, but those cleaner animations might help you CS better during laning phase.
After extensive use, I'd recommend grabbing it during a sale if you're not desperate. It's a solid addition to the collection but won't revolutionize your gameplay like some skins claim to do.
