Empyrean Lux

After 50 games with Empyrean Lux, I finally get why everyone's been hyping this skin up in my Discord server. The VFX upgrade alone makes it feel like you're playing a completely different champion, especially compared to my old favorite Cosmic Lux.

The Q binding feels way more responsive than base skin, with this purple energy trail that's actually easier to track in teamfights. Her E is probably the biggest difference though, that expanding void sphere is so much clearer than the standard light circle, making it easier to zone enemies off CS. During a baron fight yesterday, I landed a perfect E into ult combo that caught three people because the visual clarity helped me judge the exact edge of the hitbox. The ult itself has this insane charging animation that genuinely feels faster even though I know it's the same channel time. But compared to other Lux skins like Elementalist where you get ten forms, Empyrean is purely cosmetic with no actual advantage.

My experience with Empyrean Lux has been worth the 1350 RP, especially if you're planning to main her this season. The skin doesn't tilt me like some of the older ones where abilities blend into Summoner's Rift too much. And the recall animation with the floating meditation pose is chef's kiss when you're fed and want to flex a bit. Should you buy Empyrean Lux if you only play her occasionally? Maybe wait for Your Shop. But if you're grinding ranked and play her regularly, this skin makes those long sessions way more enjoyable without breaking the bank like Ultimate skins do.
