Emerald Taric

The Knights of the Emerald Chapel are the once-human stewards of the Elderwood—men and women who swore an oath to the land itself, and in return were granted unnaturally long life. Now led by a man named Taric, a handful reside there still, protecting the forest from all manner of invaders.

Been playing Taric support for years now and finally grabbed Emerald Taric during the last sale, thinking it'd just be another green chroma situation. But after around 55 games with it, I'm actually impressed by how clean everything feels compared to base skin. The Q healing circles are way more visible in teamfights, which sounds minor but makes a huge difference when you're trying to keep track of who's getting healed during those messy dragon fights.

What really sold me on this skin is how smooth the W tether looks when linking to your ADC. Base Taric's tether can get lost in minion waves sometimes, but Emerald's green glow cuts through the visual noise perfectly. The E stun has this satisfying crystalline effect that makes timing easier too. I remember this one tower dive where my jungler went in early and I could actually see my stun charging up clearly enough to flash E at the perfect moment for the save. With Armor of the Fifth Age, which I mained before this, the pink particles would blend with certain champion effects and I'd lose track.

Is Emerald Taric worth it? For 520 RP, absolutely. It's not pay to win or anything crazy, but the cleaner animations genuinely help in cluttered fights. My experience with Emerald Taric compared to other Taric skins puts it right behind Pool Party for clarity, though I probably prefer Emerald's aesthetic more. The ult is maybe a bit underwhelming visually, just a green version of the base invulnerability effect, but you're buying this for the improved readability, not to flex. If you're a Taric main who wants something functional without breaking bank, this beats most of his pricier options.
