Bought this skin after watching a Korean challenger absolutely demolish with it on stream, and after 70 games I can finally give my honest take on whether Elderwood Wukong is worth the 1350 RP price. The first thing that hits you is how the Q animation feels way smoother compared to base skin, especially when you're weaving autos between abilities for those quick lane trades. Your clone from W has this subtle leaf effect that actually makes it harder for enemies to tell which one's real in chaotic teamfights, giving you that split second advantage.
The E dash feels more responsive than Radiant or Jade Dragon skins, and I swear the hitbox clarity helps me land it more consistently when I'm trying to engage over walls. But where this skin really shines is during those messy dragon fights where everyone's abilities are going off. Last night we were contesting soul, enemy Yasuo windwalled our MF ult, and I managed to flank perfectly because the ult knockup animation is so clean you can actually see exactly who you're hitting through all the chaos. That play probably doesn't happen on base skin where the ult can feel clunky in crowded areas.
Is Elderwood Wukong worth it compared to other Wukong skins? If you're a Wukong main who values gameplay feel over pure aesthetics, absolutely. It's not pay to win but the animation improvements are noticeable enough that I've completely benched my Jade Dragon skin. The recall animation's pretty cringe but good in its own nature themed way. For anyone who plays Wukong regularly, this skin makes the champ feel less dated and way more fluid to pilot.
