Elderwood Veigar

After 80 games with Elderwood Veigar, I finally understand why everyone keeps calling this skin pay to win. As someone who owns most Veigar skins, this one hits different when you're trying to land those cage combos in teamfights.

The Q feels smoother to last hit with compared to base Veigar, and I swear the projectile is easier to track through minion waves. But the real game changer is the E cage animation. Where Final Boss makes it super obvious with those bright pixels, Elderwood's nature themed walls blend into Summoner's Rift just enough that enemies react maybe half a second slower. Won a crucial dragon fight yesterday because their ADC didn't notice my cage edge until they were already stunned. The W meteor feels less clunky too, probably because the nature effects make the delay feel more natural than that awkward purple circle on default.

Compared to other Veigar skins like Omega Squad or Bad Santa, Elderwood actually gives you a slight edge. The ult projectile is deceptively hard to see coming in river fights, especially when there's already a bunch of spell effects going off. Worth the 1350 RP if you're serious about climbing with Veigar. And the recall animation where he grows into a tree is honestly one of the best in the game, though that's just cosmetic appeal.

Is Elderwood Veigar worth it? If you're a Veigar main who wants every advantage, absolutely grab it. The cleaner animations alone make CSing easier, and those slightly harder to see abilities might tilt enemies into making mistakes. Just don't expect it to carry you if you can't hit skillshots already.
