Been spamming Elderwood Hecarim for about 120 games now and honestly, it's become my go-to skin compared to other Hecarim skins I own. The nature theme completely changes how the champion feels to play, especially when you're running through the jungle. Your Q feels smoother somehow, like the animation flows better with each stack, and the W healing aura looks way cleaner than base skin where you can barely tell it's active sometimes. The ult is probably the biggest upgrade though, that spectral forest charge actually makes enemies panic more than the regular version.
Last night I was contesting dragon and the enemy team couldn't tell exactly where my ult hitbox ended because the trees blend into the river bushes so well. Got a triple kill off that confusion alone. But it's not pay-to-win or anything, just looks insane when you pop off. Compared to Arcade Hecarim which I used before this, Elderwood feels less clunky during extended fights. The E charge-up has this growing green glow that makes it super obvious when you're at max speed, which helps with timing your engages better.
Is Elderwood Hecarim worth it at 1350 RP? For anyone who plays him regularly, absolutely. The skin aged really well since release and still looks better than newer releases on other champs. My experience with Elderwood Hecarim convinced me to grab the whole Elderwood line eventually. If you're on the fence about should you buy Elderwood Hecarim, wait for a sale maybe, but for Hecarim mains this is basically mandatory. The visual clarity alone makes it worth over skins like Headless or Reaper that feel outdated now.
