After putting 90 games into Elderwood Gnar, I can honestly say this skin completely changed how I play him compared to other Gnar skins. The transformation feels way smoother than base skin, and there's something about those nature particles that makes timing my rage bar easier to track during teamfights.

The boomerang has this satisfying wooden thunk that's actually helped my CS timing, and when you go mega, those tree roots sprouting during your W stun are insanely clear for both you and enemies. But what really sold me was a baron fight where I could perfectly see my boulder trajectory through all the spell effects because of that mossy green glow. Super Galaxy Gnar might have flashier animations, but Elderwood's clarity is unmatched when things get chaotic. The ult has this earthy impact that feels heavier somehow, probably just psychological but it makes those game winning ults feel even better.

Is Elderwood Gnar worth it at 1350 RP? For anyone who plays him regularly, absolutely. This isn't pay to win but the visual clarity on abilities definitely helps in cluttered fights. My experience with Elderwood Gnar has been nothing but positive since switching from Dino Gnar. The recall animation where he builds that little treehouse is pure tilt material when you're fed too.

If you're deciding between this and his other skins, Elderwood wins for competitive play while something like Gentleman Gnar is better for messing around in norms.
