Elderwood Ahri caught me completely off guard when I pulled it from a hextech chest last month. After 50 games with it, I'm actually shocked how much this skin changes her feel compared to base Ahri or even Spirit Blossom.
The charm animation feels cleaner somehow, like the projectile travels more smoothly and I'm landing way more max range charms in teamfights. Her Q return damage is easier to track with those nature particles, and I swear the orb looks smaller even though the hitbox is identical. But what really stands out is her ult. Those spirit dashes have this ethereal flow that makes kiting feel more responsive than any other Ahri skin I've tried. During a baron fight yesterday, I managed to weave through their entire frontline because the ult animations were so clear I could actually see where I'd end up between dashes.
Compared to other Ahri skins like KDA or Coven, Elderwood trades flashiness for clarity. The W foxfires orbit tighter and the targeting feels less clunky when you're trying to CS under tower. Her recall is probably the best part with that whole mystical forest vibe, though you'll rarely see it if you're fed and pushing. The skin isn't pay to win but the visual clarity definitely helps in messy fights where particle effects usually overlap.
Is Elderwood Ahri worth it? If you main her, absolutely grab it when it shows up in Your Shop. The 1350 RP price is standard but this one delivers way more than just a pretty model. My experience with Elderwood Ahri convinced me that sometimes the less popular skins are the hidden gems worth collecting.
