EDG Aphelios

After 50 games with EDG Aphelios, I'm convinced this skin completely changes how the champion feels to play. The exclusive nature makes it even sweeter when you pop off in lane.

The Calibrum mark is insanely clearer than base skin, making those long range trades feel more responsive during laning phase. Severum Q has this crisp sound that lets you know exactly when the lifesteal kicks in, and I swear the animation cancel on Infernum ult feels smoother. Last night I was getting dove under tower by their jungler and support, but the Crescendum turret placement felt so clean I managed to turn it for a double kill. The visual clarity on where your turrets are compared to something like Nightbringer is night and day. But what really sells it is how the Gravitum root looks, you can actually tell when someone's about to break free instead of guessing like on base.

Is EDG Aphelios worth it? Absolutely if you main him. The skin sits somewhere between Nightbringer's flashiness and base skin's simplicity, giving you the best of both worlds. It's probably the most competitively viable skin he has since every ability is easier to track. My experience with EDG Aphelios compared to other Aphelios skins shows it's not quite pay to win, but the clarity advantages are real. The white and gold color scheme makes CS'ing feel better too, though that might just be mental.

Should you buy EDG Aphelios if you're on the fence? If you play him more than occasionally, this is the one to get. The World Champions 2021 vibe hits different when you're fed and carrying.
