DWG Leona

After 80 games with DWG Leona, I'm convinced this skin actually gives you a mechanical edge that most people overlook. The W animation is noticeably cleaner than base Leona, making it easier to time your engages when you're about to pop off in lane. Where Solar Eclipse Leona feels clunky with that delayed visual burst, DWG's shield activation is instant and crisp.

The E projectile is probably the biggest difference though. During a baron fight last night, I landed three crucial Zenith Blades that I swear would've been harder to track with PROJECT or even Lunar Eclipse. The golden trail is bright without being obnoxious, and enemies seem to react a fraction slower to it. My ADC even commented that my engages looked smoother. And the ult? The sword slam feels more responsive than any other skin I've tried, especially when you need to chain CC after a flash engage.

Compared to other Leona skins like Battle Academia which costs the same 1350 RP, DWG feels worth it for the competitive advantage alone. The recall animation where she plants the sword is sick too, but that's just bonus. This isn't quite pay to win, but it's close enough that I'd recommend it to any support main who wants every possible edge in ranked.

Is DWG Leona worth it? If you're serious about climbing with her, absolutely. The cleaner animations genuinely help with combo execution, and after extensive use, I can't go back to my other skins. Maybe it's placebo, but when you're trying to hit that perfect engage to turn a game, every millisecond counts.
