Dragonmancer Rakan

Picked up Dragonmancer Rakan from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Star Guardian. After about 35 games though, this skin completely changed how I approach teamfights.

The Q feels way smoother to land compared to other skins, probably because the dragon feather animation is clearer than his base model's weird sparkles. His W has this sick dragon slam effect that makes gauging the knockup range easier, especially when you're diving under tower with your ADC. But the real game changer is his ult. The dragon aura is so much more visible than Cosmic Dawn's subtle glow, making it obvious when you're about to charm someone. Had this insane baron fight yesterday where I flashed over the pit wall and the enemy team actually scattered before I even reached them because the dragon wings telegraph the ult so clearly. Ended up winning that game off that play alone.

Compared to other Rakan skins like iG or Elderwood, Dragonmancer feels more responsive when animation canceling between abilities. The E dash to your partner has this crisp dragon trail that helps track where you're going in messy 5v5s. Is Dragonmancer Rakan worth it though? For 1350 RP it's definitely not pay to win, but the visual clarity gives you a slight edge that other skins don't offer.

If you're a support main who plays Rakan occasionally, maybe wait for a sale. But if you're spamming him in ranked trying to climb, this skin actually helps you perform better. The cleaner animations alone make those clutch engages feel more consistent. Should you buy Dragonmancer Rakan? If you want the best competitive advantage without breaking the bank, absolutely worth.
