Picked up Dragon Trainer Tristana from a mystery chest last month and wasn't expecting much since I mainly run Bewitching. After about 40 games with it, I'm actually shocked at how clean this skin feels compared to other Tristana skins.
The W jump feels way more responsive than base skin, especially when you're trying to buffer it during CC. Her E bomb placement has this satisfying thunk sound that makes CS timing easier, and the explosion visual is clearer without being distracting. But what really sold me was using ult in a dragon fight yesterday. Enemy Kayn tried to dive our backline and the knockback animation was so smooth I could instantly reposition for the follow up. Compare that to Rocket Girl where sometimes the ult feels delayed, and it's night and day. The auto attack animation is probably the cleanest of all her skins too, making kiting feel natural when you're fed.
Is Dragon Trainer Tristana worth it though? For an Epic tier skin, you're getting animations that rival some Legendary skins. The dragon companion is adorable but doesn't clutter your screen during teamfights. I'd put this above Omega Squad for clarity but below Bewitching for pure style points. It's definitely not pay to win, but those smoother animations might help you pop off in clutch moments.
My experience with Dragon Trainer Tristana convinced me it's worth grabbing if you main her or play ADC regularly. The price feels fair for what you get, and it's become my go to when I need consistency over flashiness. Bewitching still comes out for the flex, but Dragon Trainer is what I run when I'm tilted and need those mechanics to feel crisp.
