Got DJ Sona from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I'm more of a Pentakill fan. After around 55 games though, this skin completely changed how I play her. The form switching between Kinetic, Concussive and Ethereal isn't just visual fluff, it actually helps track your passive rotation better than any other skin I've tried.
The Q poke feels way more responsive compared to base Sona or even Arcade. There's something about the sound cues that makes landing those empowered autos after abilities feel cleaner. Your W shield timing becomes easier too since the visual is less cluttered than skins like Sweetheart. But the real game changer is the ult. That wave animation is probably the clearest hitbox indicator Sona has, which saved my ADC during a dragon fight yesterday when I barely clipped their Zed with the edge of my ult that I wouldn't have been confident about on another skin.
Compared to other Sona skins like Odyssey, DJ Sona review posts usually mention the music but miss how much the animations help in teamfights. The smoother cancel on your power chord lets you weave autos better when you're fed. And teammates can actually see which aura you're running without squinting at tiny icons. Is DJ Sona worth it at 3250 RP? If you're a support main who plays her regularly, absolutely. The clarity advantage is real, not quite pay to win but close enough that I notice the difference when I swap back to other skins.
Maybe I'm biased now but this skin turned me from casual Sona player to actually considering maining her. Worth the RP if you catch it on sale.
