Defender Leona

Finally got Defender Leona from a chest after maining her for over 500k mastery points, and honestly this skin hits different than I expected. Been running it for about 40 games now and the shield bash on Q feels way more responsive than base skin, probably because the animation is cleaner without all those particle effects cluttering your screen. The E projectile is super crisp too, making those max range engages feel more consistent when you're trying to catch that fed ADC who's been tilting your team all game.

The W activation is where this skin really shines compared to something like Solar Eclipse Leona. You get this clean blue glow that doesn't obscure your character model, which matters when you're tower diving and need to track exactly where you're standing. Just yesterday I managed to perfectly time a dive bot lane because I could actually see my positioning through the W effects, something that gets muddy on skins like Lunar Eclipse where the particles go crazy. And the ult? Pure satisfaction when it lands, though I think Project Leona still has the best ult feel overall.

Is Defender Leona worth it compared to other Leona skins? For 750 RP it's actually solid value if you want something clean and functional. This isn't some pay to win advantage, but the clearer animations definitely help in clutch moments. My experience with Defender Leona has been surprisingly positive for what looks like a simple skin. If you're a Leona main who values clarity over flashy effects, grab it when it shows up in your shop. Otherwise Solar or Lunar Eclipse give you more visual bang for your RP.
