Picked up Debonair Jayce after seeing it in my shop for 975 RP and honestly wasn't expecting much from an older 975 skin. After around 55 games though, this skin completely changed how I approach teamfights compared to other Jayce skins I own.

The Q in cannon form feels way smoother to land than base skin, probably because the shockblast animation is less cluttered visually. His hammer E has this satisfying thud that makes timing the knockback easier, especially when you're trying to insec someone into your team. Battle Academia Jayce might have flashier effects but Debonair's cleaner animations actually help me CS better in lane. The transformation between forms feels more responsive too, which matters when you're trying to combo fast. Just yesterday I was defending dragon and managed to snipe their ADC through the pit wall because the Q trajectory was so clear I could thread it between their frontline perfectly.

What really sells Debonair Jayce for me is how the W in cannon form doesn't blind you with particle effects like Forsaken does. You can actually see what you're hitting during extended trades. The skin aged surprisingly well considering it's from 2014, and while it's definitely just cosmetic, the visual clarity makes it feel almost pay to win in cluttered fights. My experience with Debonair Jayce convinced me it's worth grabbing if you main him or even play him occasionally.

If you're deciding between this and his newer skins, Debonair offers the best gameplay feel without sacrificing style. The gentleman aesthetic still looks crisp and those clean animations will help you pop off more consistently than the flashier options.
