Darkforge Jarvan IV

Been spamming Darkforge Jarvan IV for about 55 games now after grabbing it when I finally hit Gold, and this skin completely changed how I play the champion. The dark armor aesthetic isn't just for show, it actually makes your combos feel more responsive compared to base skin. Your E-Q feels snappier somehow, like the flag animation doesn't have that weird delay that makes you miss crucial engages.

What really sold me on Darkforge Jarvan IV compared to other Jarvan IV skins is how clean the ult looks in teamfights. Yesterday during a dragon fight, enemy team was stacked near pit and I could perfectly see my Cataclysm edges through all the spell effects. With Warring Kingdoms, I'd probably miss the exact positioning and trap my own ADC by accident. The darker color palette makes everything pop off visually without being distracting. And the passive proc is way easier to track, that purple glow is insane for knowing when you can go for another trade in lane.

This isn't pay-to-win but it's close. The Q animation feels faster even though it's technically the same frames, and your W shield is super clear so you know exactly when it breaks. For 975 RP it's worth every penny if you're serious about climbing with J4. My experience with Darkforge Jarvan IV has been nothing but positive, especially coming from using base skin for 200k mastery points. Should you buy Darkforge Jarvan IV? If you play him more than twice a week, absolutely. The visual clarity alone will save you from inting at least once per game when you're trying to combo through minion waves.
