Dark Star Xerath

Finally pulled the trigger on Dark Star Xerath after watching it dominate my games for weeks, and honestly the 1350 RP feels justified after spamming 50 games this past month. The cosmic horror aesthetic completely transforms how Xerath feels to play, especially compared to my previous go-to Battlecast skin.

The Q charge-up has this insane void effect that makes CSing feel smoother somehow, probably because the animation is cleaner than base. But where this skin really shines is the W and E combo. That stun projectile is actually easier to track in teamfights, and I've been landing way more picks because of it. During a baron fight yesterday, I caught their fed ADC with an E through the chaos purely because the dark purple orb stood out against all the spell effects. The ult though? Pure eye candy. Those meteors dropping from space make you feel like you're actually calling down cosmic judgment, and I swear enemies panic more when they see those markers appear.

Compared to other Xerath skins like Guardian of the Sands, Dark Star just hits different. The recall alone where he opens a black hole is worth showing off after you pop off in lane. It's definitely not pay-to-win, but the visual clarity on abilities gives you a slight edge in messy fights. My only gripe is the W can blend into river terrain sometimes, but that's minor.

Is Dark Star Xerath worth it? For anyone who plays him regularly, absolutely. The skin elevates the champion fantasy while keeping animations responsive. If you're on the fence, wait for a sale, but mains should grab this immediately.
