Dark Star Thresh

After 120 games with Dark Star Thresh, I can confidently say this skin completely changes how the champion feels to play. Got it from a chest last season and honestly wasn't expecting much since I already owned Championship Thresh, but this thing hits different when you're making plays.

The Q windup feels way smoother compared to base Thresh or even Championship. There's something about the cosmic animation that makes predicting enemy movement easier, and I swear the hitbox appears cleaner during those max range hooks. Your E has this satisfying void effect that actually helps you gauge the flay direction better, especially when you're trying for those backwards flays under tower. During a baron fight yesterday, I managed to land three consecutive hooks partly because the Dark Star Q projectile stands out so clearly against the river terrain. The lantern might be the best part though, that purple glow makes it impossible for teammates to miss even in messy teamfights where everyone's popping off.

Compared to other Thresh skins like High Noon or Spirit Blossom, Dark Star probably gives you the best visual clarity for competitive play. The death animation when you collect souls is insane, and while some might find the cosmic sounds distracting at first, after around 20 games you'll appreciate how distinct each ability sounds. Is Dark Star Thresh worth it? For support mains who play him regularly, absolutely. It's not exactly pay to win, but the cleaner animations and better visibility definitely help you land more skillshots. My hook accuracy went up maybe 5% just from the visual improvements alone. Worth the 1820 RP if you're serious about climbing with Thresh.
