✨ Ranked Ready High MMR Accounts Restocked
Been maining Sylas for three seasons now with around 500k mastery points, and Dark Star might be the one skin that actually changes how I play certain matchups. My friends kept asking for my thoughts after I grabbed it last patch, so here's my experience with Dark Star Sylas after about 70 games.
The Q feels way smoother to weave between autos compared to Freljord or base skin, and the E2 animation is probably the cleanest in his entire collection. What really sold me was how the W healing visual doesn't clutter teamfights like PROJECT does. Last night we were contesting dragon against a fed Jinx comp, and I could actually track my position during the chaos because the dark purple effects blend better with river terrain. The ult steal animation has this subtle pull that makes it easier to time your engage, especially when you're trying to snipe something like Malphite ult through minions. Compared to Lunar Wraith which I used before, Dark Star has better visibility on the passive stacks too.
This isn't pay to win but it's close. The smoother cancel on Q into E makes those quick trades in lane feel more responsive, and I've been winning more 1v1s just from muscle memory clicking better. At 1820 RP it's not cheap, but for anyone who plays Sylas regularly, this is worth over something flashier like PROJECT.
If you're deciding between skins or wondering "is Dark Star Sylas worth it?" as a main, absolutely grab it. The technical improvements alone make it better than most epic tier skins, and you won't tilt yourself trying to track abilities in messy fights.
