Dark Star Orianna

After losing my third promo series in a row, I rage-bought Dark Star Orianna thinking a new skin would somehow fix my mental. Seventy games later, I'm actually convinced this skin gives me a slight edge that has nothing to do with tilt management.

The Q feels incredibly smooth compared to base Orianna, with the ball leaving this purple trail that makes tracking it during chaotic teamfights way easier. Her W has this expanding cosmic effect that somehow makes the range feel more accurate than Winter Wonder's snowflake explosion that I mained for two years. But the real difference is her ult animation, which has this subtle wind-up that enemies seem to react to slower. Maybe it's the darker color palette blending with Rift textures, but I've landed probably 20% more five-man ults since switching. During a baron fight yesterday, their Yasuo literally walked into my ball sitting in the pit because he couldn't distinguish it from the void portal effect underneath.

Is Dark Star Orianna worth it compared to other Orianna skins? For 1350 RP, you're getting what feels like a competitive advantage disguised as a cosmetic. The animations are cleaner than most of her catalog, especially if you're coming from clunkier options like Bladecraft. And that recall where she creates a black hole is just insane value for showing dominance after getting fed in lane.

This isn't quite pay-to-win, but it's close enough that I'd recommend it to any Orianna main trying to climb. The visual clarity on your end combined with the slightly harder read for enemies makes those clutch shockwaves way more consistent. Worth every RP if you're serious about mastering her.
