Dark Cosmic Diana

Diana was once a favorite of Cosmic Queen Ashe, but was labeled a heretic and banished for trying to understand the Dark Star's power with a little too much interest for the Court's comfort. Left adrift in the bleak nothingness of space, she had no choice but to embrace the chaos that had fascinated her for so long.

Been an OTP Diana main since season 8 and after 500k mastery points across all accounts, I finally understand why Dark Cosmic Diana gets so much hate and love at the same time. Got this skin day one when it dropped, and honestly the community reception was mixed but after spamming it for around 100 games, I can tell you exactly what makes it different from base Diana or even Blood Moon.

The Q feels insanely smooth compared to other Diana skins, especially when you're trying to hit those max range pokes in lane. Your passive procs have this satisfying cosmic explosion that makes CSing feel better somehow, though maybe that's just me being biased. But the real difference is her E pull animation being clearer for both you and enemies. Last night during a dragon fight, I managed to pull their fed ADC through the wall near blue buff because the range indicator is just that much more visible in chaotic teamfights. Compare this to Infernal Diana where everything blends into orange chaos and you'll see why Dark Cosmic Diana actually helps your gameplay.

Is Dark Cosmic Diana worth it for serious Diana mains? Absolutely worth the 1350 RP if you're playing her regularly. The ult animation cancel feels more responsive than base skin, giving you those split second advantages when you need to pop off. It's not exactly pay to win, but the visual clarity on abilities definitely helps in ranked. My experience with Dark Cosmic Diana convinced me to refund Dragonslayer just to keep using this one. If you're on the fence about should you buy Dark Cosmic Diana, wait for a sale unless you're grinding ranked right now.
