Bought Cyber Pop Akshan after getting absolutely destroyed by one in my diamond promos, and honestly the skin hits different than I expected. After about 50 games with it, I can see why that enemy Akshan was popping off so hard. The Q feels way more responsive compared to base skin, especially when you're trying to weave autos between boomerang throws. And the E swing animation is cleaner, making those wall hops around dragon pit feel more consistent. The neon effects actually help track your passive stacks better too, which I didn't realize would matter until I started winning more extended trades.
The real game changer happened during a baron fight last night where I needed to ult through three enemies to hit their fed Jinx. With Pulsefire Akshan, I sometimes lose track of the ult trajectory in messy teamfights, but Cyber Pop's bright projectiles are impossible to miss. The W stealth has this subtle digital fade that makes timing your repositioning easier, though maybe that's just me getting used to it. At 1350 RP it's not cheap, but compared to other Akshan skins this one actually gives you slight clarity advantages beyond just looking insane.
My experience with Cyber Pop Akshan convinced me it's worth grabbing if you're planning to main him. The skin isn't pay-to-win exactly, but those smoother animations definitely help when you're trying to CS while harassing in lane. Plus the recall animation where he plays that holographic guitar is probably the best BM after solo killing their jungler. If you're on the fence about should you buy Cyber Pop Akshan, I'd say wait for a sale unless you're already grinding ranked with him regularly.
