Crime City Nightmare Zyra

Got this skin from a mystery chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I mainly play Dragon Sorceress. After around 50 games though, Crime City Nightmare Zyra completely changed my mind about what makes a good skin worth using.

The Q feels way more responsive than base skin, especially when you're trying to hit those max range pokes in lane. Her E root has this dark purple trail that's actually easier to track in teamfights compared to other Zyra skins I've tried. And the ult? That expanding nightmare zone is probably the clearest indicator of where the knockup will hit. During a baron fight yesterday, my ADC said they could finally see exactly where my ult boundaries were without guessing, which never happens with Haunted or even Coven. The plants look like creepy hands reaching up from underground, and while that's just cosmetic, they're somehow less clunky when targeting champions.

Compared to Dragon Sorceress which I mained forever, this one just plays smoother. The auto attack animation cancels cleaner when you're weaving in harass between abilities. It's not pay to win exactly, but the visual clarity definitely helps both you and your team. My experience with Crime City Nightmare Zyra convinced me that sometimes the newer skins really do improve gameplay feel beyond just looking cool.

Is Crime City Nightmare Zyra worth it? If you're a support main who plays her regularly, absolutely. The 1350 RP price seems fair considering how much better the abilities read in chaotic fights. But if you only play Zyra occasionally or already love your current skin, maybe wait for a sale since the advantages are subtle enough that casual players might not notice the difference.
