Coven Akali

After 70 games with Coven Akali, I'm convinced this skin changes how you play her entirely. The darker aesthetic isn't just for show, it actually makes your combos feel more fluid compared to other Akali skins I own.

The Q daggers have this purple trail that's easier to track in teamfights, and I swear the E shuriken feels faster even though it's probably just the animation. But what really got me was during a baron fight yesterday where I could actually see my shroud boundaries clearly against the river terrain, something that's always been cringe with base Akali. The passive ring glows with this sick purple energy that makes kiting between autos way smoother. Compared to KDA Akali which I mained forever, Coven's animations feel less clunky when you're trying to weave autos between abilities.

Is Coven Akali worth it? For 1350 RP, absolutely. The ult dash has this shadowy effect that makes it harder for enemies to predict your exact landing spot, which I'd argue gives you a slight advantage. Not quite pay-to-win but definitely pay-to-look-good-while-you-int. My experience with Coven Akali convinced me to refund True Damage because this one just hits different when you're fed and diving their backline.

Should you buy Coven Akali if you're an Akali main? Without question. The skin makes CSing feel cleaner with the auto attack animation, and the recall is one of the best in her collection. Even when I'm tilted and going 0/5, at least I look good doing it. Worth every RP, especially if you play her regularly.
