Chosen Master Yi

Been a Master Yi one trick for three years now with 600k mastery points, and I've tested every skin multiple times. When Chosen Master Yi dropped into my collection from a chest last month, I wasn't expecting much from this older 520 RP skin. But after 55 games, I'm actually surprised how clean it feels compared to other Master Yi skins.

The Q animation feels noticeably smoother than base skin, making those quick resets during teamfights way easier to track. Your W meditation has this golden glow that's easier to see in chaotic fights, which saved me countless times when I needed to tank that last tower shot. And the ult activation is probably the cleanest visual indicator Yi has. I was diving their fed ADC under tower yesterday and the enhanced auto attacks just feel more responsive than PROJECT or even Cosmic Blade. The lightsaber sound effects are satisfying without being distracting.

Compared to PROJECT Yi which everyone seems to love, Chosen actually gives better visual clarity. PROJECT has all these flashy particles that sometimes make it hard to see what's happening in messy dragon fights. Chosen keeps it simple but effective. The smoother animation cancels on your Q into auto attacks definitely make a difference when you're trying to pop off in late game. Is Chosen Master Yi worth it? For a budget skin, absolutely. It's not pay to win but the cleaner animations do help.

My experience with Chosen Master Yi convinced me that newer isn't always better. If you're a Yi main looking for something that won't tilt you with visual clutter while still feeling different from base, grab this when it's available. The value here beats most of his pricier options.
