Celestine Soraka

Grabbed Celestine Soraka from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Star Guardian or Dawnbringer. After about 40 games though, this skin's grown on me in ways I didn't see coming. The cosmic aesthetic hits different when you're actually playing it versus seeing it in champ select.

The Q feels way more responsive than base skin, like the starcall animation actually matches when the damage lands. But what really sold me was the W animation being cleaner for those clutch heals during dragon fights. Last night we were contesting soul and I managed to keep our fed Jinx alive through three separate burst attempts because I could actually tell when my heals were connecting through all the chaos. The E silence field looks insane with that swirling galaxy effect, though sometimes it's harder to see the exact edge compared to other Soraka skins. Her ult has this satisfying cosmic explosion that makes you feel like you're actually making a game-changing play instead of just pressing R.

Compared to other Soraka skins like Reaper or even Program, Celestine sits in this weird spot where it's not quite pay-to-win but definitely feels smoother. The recall animation alone is worth it if you're into that ethereal vibe. My only gripe is that the skin can feel a bit visually busy in teamfights, especially when other cosmic skins are on the field.

Is Celestine Soraka worth it? If you're a Soraka main who values smooth animations over flashy effects, probably yeah. The skin's definitely grown on me more than I expected, and I find myself picking it over skins I actually paid for. Not bad for a free chest pull.
