Butcher Olaf

Butcher Olaf was the skin that made me stop running Pentakill exclusively after 90 games this season. Something about the cleaver auto attacks just feels more responsive than the guitar swings, especially when you're trying to weave autos between Q throws during an all in.

The Q axe throw has this satisfying meat cleaver animation that's actually easier to track in teamfights compared to other Olaf skins. During a baron fight yesterday, I could perfectly see my axes through all the spell effects while the enemy Olaf with Dragonslayer kept losing his in the visual chaos. His W lifesteal gets this red glow that's subtle but clear enough to know when you're healing without being distracting. And the ult is probably the best part since the red aura is way less obnoxious than Brolaf's party lights but still obvious enough that enemies respect your engage. The skin genuinely helped me secure a tower dive at level 6 because the enemy misjudged my ult duration without that giant golden glow from base Olaf.

Compared to other Olaf skins like Glacial or even the newer Sentinel, Butcher just hits different. It's purely cosmetic but the animations feel tighter somehow. Worth the 750 RP if you're an Olaf main who wants something clean without the visual noise of his legendary skins. The recall where he chops meat is a bit cringe but good for BM after you diff their jungler.

Is Butcher Olaf worth it? If you play him more than occasionally, absolutely. It won't make you climb but it makes the grind feel fresher when you're spamming games.
