Broken Covenant Riven

Been maining Riven since season 7 and after 600k mastery points across three accounts, I finally caved and grabbed Broken Covenant during the last sale. My friends kept telling me I was missing out, and honestly they weren't wrong about this one being different from the rest of her catalog.

The Q combo feels insanely smooth compared to base skin, almost like the animation cancels happen naturally without forcing them. Her third Q especially has this crisp landing that makes fast combos way more consistent. But what really sold me was how her W feels instant, like there's zero delay between pressing it and enemies getting stunned. Last night I was getting camped by their jungler and managed to pull off a clean 1v2 under tower because the W animation is so much clearer that I could time it perfectly with their dive. The ult activation is probably the cleanest visual effect she has, you can actually tell when the wind slash will execute someone instead of guessing like with Dawnbringer where everything's just bright particles everywhere.

Is Broken Covenant Riven worth it compared to other Riven skins? For serious players, absolutely. This isn't just cosmetic, the cleaner animations genuinely help with combos and the darker color scheme makes it easier to track her position in teamfights. My experience with Broken Covenant Riven has been nothing but positive after around 80 games. Championship used to be my go-to for clarity but this one's replaced it completely. The 1820 RP price might seem steep but if you're planning to grind ranked with her, you're basically paying for consistency. Worth every penny if you're committed to the champion.
