Bought this skin after getting absolutely demolished by a Nocturne who looked like he crawled straight out of a nightmare, and honestly the Broken Covenant theme hits different when you're the one doing the haunting. After around 70 games with it, I can confidently say this is probably the cleanest Nocturne experience you'll get compared to other Nocturne skins.
The Q trail feels way more responsive than base or even Eternum, with this purple void effect that actually helps you track where you've been in messy teamfights. Your W spell shield gets this sick corrupted angel wing animation that's easier to time than the subtle base version. But the real game changer is the ult. When you pop that R, the screen corruption effect is insane and the dash feels smoother somehow. Last night I dove their fed ADC under tower and the cleaner animation on my fear tether let me perfectly time the tower aggro drop. That wouldn't have worked as clean on Frozen Terror where the tether looks muddy.
Is Broken Covenant Nocturne worth it though? At 1350 RP it's not exactly budget friendly, but if you're comparing value to something like Hextech that costs way more for less impact, this one wins. The skin isn't pay to win but the visual clarity on abilities definitely helps in those chaotic dragon fights where everyone's spamming abilities. My experience with Broken Covenant Nocturne convinced me to refund Old God Warwick just to main this champ more.
For Nocturne mains this is basically mandatory. Casuals might want to wait for a sale, but if you're planning to actually climb with the champ, the smoother feel alone makes those ganks more consistent.
