Boneclaw Shyvana

Many hunters claim Shyvana holds an unfair advantage when it comes to slaying the giant beasts that roam the land. Shyvana herself cares little about their opinions, preferring instead to channel her rage into her true form—a massive, fire-breathing dragon… that proves the hunters' point.

Picked this up from a mystery chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since Boneclaw Shyvana is one of her older releases. After around 40 games though, I'm actually shocked at how clean it feels compared to base Shyvana. The bone aesthetic might look dated in splash art but in game it's surprisingly crisp.

The E projectile feels way more responsive than default, probably because the bone spikes have clearer edges that make it easier to judge the hitbox. Her dragon form Q has this satisfying crunch that makes farming feel better, and I swear the auto attack animation flows smoother when you're trying to CS under tower. But what really sold me was during a baron fight where I ulted through their backline. The skeletal wings in dragon form are less visually cluttered than Championship Shyvana's golden effects, making it easier to track my position in chaotic teamfights. Their ADC even typed "wtf is that skin" after I deleted them, which felt pretty good.

Is Boneclaw Shyvana worth it compared to other Shyvana skins? For 520 RP it's honestly insane value. Sure, it doesn't have the flashy recall animations or particle updates of her newer skins, but the cleaner hitbox visibility alone makes it borderline pay to win in my book. I've tried Ruined and Ice Drake extensively, and while those look cooler in champ select, Boneclaw just plays better when you're actually trying to climb.

If you're a Shyvana main looking for a competitive edge without breaking the bank, grab this one. The visual clarity diff is real, especially if you're tired of losing track of yourself in dragon form during messy fights.
