Bloodstone Taric

Considered to be the most handsome and cunning acolyte of his Bloodstone cult, Taric seized power after the former leader took to the hunt. Now fully in control of his Bloodstone artifact, he uses his powers to maintain his youth and beauty at all costs—even if it means getting his hands a little bloody.

Buying Bloodstone Taric was my way of celebrating finally hitting Diamond after being hardstuck Plat for three seasons, and honestly it's become my go-to skin after about 120 games with it.

The Q feels way smoother to weave between autos compared to base Taric, and the visual is actually clearer for both you and your ADC to see the heal range. Your E stun has this deep red crystalline effect that makes it easier to track in teamfights, which I've noticed helps teammates follow up better. But the real game changer is the ult animation. The blood red gems floating around allies are so much more visible than the default golden sparkles, especially during those messy dragon fights where everything's going off at once. Last week we were getting collapsed on at soul point, and my jungler actually noticed he had my ult on him because the effect is that distinct, letting him go for the smite steal instead of flashing out. We ended up winning that game off the soul.

Compared to other Taric skins like Armor of the Fifth Age, Bloodstone just feels more responsive overall. The animations are tighter and there's less visual clutter blocking your view of what's happening. It's definitely not pay to win since the hitboxes are identical, but the cleaner visuals probably give you a slight edge in reading situations. And the recall where he summons those blood crystals from the ground is actually insane looking.

Is Bloodstone Taric worth it? For support mains who play him regularly, absolutely. The visual clarity alone makes it worth the 975 RP, especially if you're trying to climb and need every advantage you can get.
