Blood Moon Zyra

Picked up Blood Moon Zyra from a mystery chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I'm usually running Dragon Sorceress. After about 35 games though, this skin completely changed my mind about what makes a good Zyra skin.

The Q seeds feel way more responsive compared to other Zyra skins, especially when you're trying to quick combo during a gank. Her E root has this dark red trail that's actually easier to track in teamfights than base skin, which caught me off guard. But the real difference is her ult. The knockup feels cleaner somehow, maybe it's the animation but I swear I'm hitting more 3-man ults now. Had this insane dragon fight yesterday where the enemy team couldn't even see my plants spawning in the river bushes because the dark red blends perfectly with the terrain. We aced them and took soul off that one play.

Blood Moon Zyra compared to Dragon Sorceress is interesting because while Dragon has flashier effects, Blood Moon gives you actual clarity advantages. The plant attacks have this subtle red glow that makes it easier to track who they're targeting. It's not exactly pay to win but there's definitely some competitive edge here. Worth the 1350 RP if you're buying it outright, though getting it free made me appreciate it more since I probably would've passed on it otherwise.

If you main Zyra and want something that feels smooth without being too distracting, Blood Moon is solid. Dragon Sorceress still wins for pure aesthetics but Blood Moon might actually help you climb better. The skin aged really well too, doesn't feel outdated like some of the older Blood Moon releases.
