Blood Moon Zilean

Blood Moon Zilean completely changes how his abilities feel in teamfights, and after 55 games with it, I can't go back to base skin anymore. The Q bombs have this dark red trail that makes double bomb combos way easier to track when everything's going crazy. Your E speed boost gets this crimson wind effect that actually helps you see who you've buffed in messy 5v5s, which sounds minor but makes a huge diff when you're trying to peel for your fed ADC.

The ult is where this skin really shines though. That blood moon circle is clearer than any other Zilean skin including Sugar Rush, and the revive animation is probably the smoothest cancel I've seen on him. Last night we were contesting dragon and their Zed went all in on our Jinx. I managed to ult her through three other champions because the targeting circle was so visible against the river terrain. She lived, we aced them, free Baron. Without this skin I might've missed that clutch save entirely.

Compared to other Zilean skins like Groovy or even Time Machine, Blood Moon just feels more responsive. The auto attack animation is cleaner for last hitting cannons, and the whole demonic aesthetic actually tilts enemies more than you'd think. Is Blood Moon Zilean worth it? For 975 RP it's not exactly budget friendly, but the visual clarity alone makes it borderline pay to win in my book.

My experience with Blood Moon Zilean convinced me to become a Zilean main. If you're already playing him regularly or want a skin that actually improves your gameplay, this is the one to get. Just don't expect your friends to stop banning him once they see those insane ult saves.
