After 55 games with Blood Moon Thresh, I'm convinced this skin changes how you play the champion. Most people fixate on the demon aesthetic but what really matters is how the abilities translate in actual gameplay.

The Q windup feels noticeably smoother than base Thresh, especially when you're trying to predict flash timings. Where Dark Star Thresh has that cosmic delay that throws me off, Blood Moon's hook animation flows naturally from the cast to the projectile. My hook accuracy went up probably 5% just from the cleaner animation alone. The E feels more responsive too, particularly when you need those frame-perfect flays to cancel dashes. During a baron fight yesterday, I managed to interrupt a Tristana W mid-jump because the flay indicator is so much clearer than Championship Thresh's golden sweep that blends into river textures.

But it's the lantern that really sold me on this being worth 975 RP. The blood red glow stands out insanely well in chaotic teamfights where Dark Star's purple orb gets lost in ability spam. My ADC actually takes the lantern now instead of walking past it like they're inting. The ult walls have better visibility too, with those demonic faces making it obvious where the box edges are compared to base skin's ghostly walls that teammates walk through thinking there's a gap.

Is Blood Moon Thresh worth it compared to other Thresh skins? For ranked grinding, absolutely. It's not quite pay-to-win but the visual clarity gives you an edge that matters when every hook counts. Championship looks cooler but Blood Moon plays better, and that's what wins games.
