Blood Moon Shen

Blood Moon Shen completely changed how I approach teamfights after grabbing it from a hextech chest last month. Been spamming around 55 games with it and honestly didn't expect to like it this much since I usually run Pulsefire.

The Q empowerment feels way smoother than base skin, especially when you're trying to weave autos between abilities during extended trades. His ult shield visual is probably the cleanest of all his skins, making it super easy to track who's protected in messy 5v5s. And the E taunt animation has this subtle red trail that somehow makes the hitbox feel more responsive compared to other Shen skins. Just yesterday I was defending dragon pit and landed a flash taunt on their fed ADC that I swear would've whiffed on TPA Shen. The whole team instantly collapsed and we turned the game around. That moment alone made me appreciate how the darker color scheme helps you blend into river fights better than his brighter skins.

Compared to Pulsefire which I mained for two years, Blood Moon just feels less clunky overall. The recall animation is sick but more importantly, the sword recall after Q doesn't have that weird delay. It's purely cosmetic advantage but when you're trying to CS under tower and manage your energy, every bit of visual clarity helps. My experience with Blood Moon Shen has been surprisingly positive for a skin I never planned to use.

Is Blood Moon Shen worth it if you're a Shen main? Absolutely. The visual improvements alone make those clutch ults and taunts feel more consistent, even if it's just placebo. Would definitely recommend picking it up when it goes on sale.
