Blood Moon Jhin

Ink-mage, trained assassin, master of ceremonies: Jhin is all this and more, a grandiose figure whose encyclopedic knowledge of centuries-old rituals fuels the Blood Moon's hellish summoning rites. He knows the name of every demon, and how to direct them into a still-living vessel.

Blood Moon Jhin completely changed how I approach teamfights after picking it up from a mystery chest last month. Been spamming it for around 35 games now and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Dark Cosmic, but this skin hits different.

The W feels way smoother to land compared to base skin, probably because the red root animation is clearer against most backgrounds. Your ult though is where this skin absolutely pops off. The blood moon filter that covers your screen makes it easier to track enemies through the chaos, and I swear the fourth shot has a more responsive feel when you're about to execute someone. Had this insane dragon fight yesterday where their Yasuo tried to windwall my fourth ult shot but the visual clarity made it super easy to wait out his timing. The Q bounce is maybe the only ability that feels similar to other skins, but even that has this satisfying blood splatter that makes CS'ing more enjoyable.

Compared to other Jhin skins like PROJECT or High Noon, Blood Moon sits in this sweet spot where it's not too flashy but still distinctive enough to feel special. The recall animation alone is worth watching every time, and the death animations on enemies are honestly a bit tilted when you're fed. It's purely cosmetic but the cleaner animations genuinely make kiting feel better, especially during extended fights.

Is Blood Moon Jhin worth it if you main him? Absolutely, especially if you can snag it on sale. It's not quite at Dark Cosmic's level for pure aesthetics, but my experience with Blood Moon Jhin has been way better than expected for clarity and smoothness.
