Got Bird of Prey Anivia from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much from this 520 RP skin. After around 55 games though, I'm actually impressed with how clean it feels compared to base Anivia. The brown eagle aesthetic might seem basic at first, but there's something about the animations that just hits different.
The Q projectile feels noticeably cleaner when you're trying to land those max range stuns in lane. I swear the animation makes it easier to track for double taps, especially when you're CSing and harassing at the same time. Her ult looks way less cluttered too, which helped me during a baron fight yesterday where I could actually see who was standing in my storm through all the ability spam. And the wall placement feels more responsive, probably just psychological but I've been hitting way more clutch blocks to cut off escapes.
Compared to other Anivia skins like Blackfrost, this one's definitely more about subtle improvements than flashy effects. Blackfrost has that insane ult that everyone can see from space, but Bird of Prey keeps things readable while still feeling premium. The recall animation where she spreads her wings is simple but clean. It's purely cosmetic, not pay to win or anything, but the visual clarity actually helps in teamfights when everything gets chaotic.
Is Bird of Prey Anivia worth it? For 520 RP, absolutely. It's become my go to skin over Festival Queen which I used to main. The understated look grows on you, and once you get used to the smoother animations, going back to base skin feels clunky. Perfect for Anivia mains who want something practical without breaking the bank.
