Got Bilgewater Swain from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually run Northern Front or Dragon Master. After around 55 games though, this skin's grown on me way more than I thought it would. The pirate aesthetic hits different when you're commanding the rift like some cursed admiral.

The Q feels smoother to weave between autos compared to other Swain skins, and I swear the W has better visibility for both you and enemies which actually helps in teamfights. Your E animation feels less clunky too, making those max range grabs more satisfying when you land them. But what really sells it is the ult transformation where you become this ghostly sea monster thing. During a baron fight yesterday, I popped ult and the enemy Jinx literally walked into my W because she was watching my character model instead of the ground indicator. The visual clarity is insane for tracking who's in your ult radius, probably because of the tentacle effects being more distinct than base skin's generic red aura.

Compared to Dragon Master which I mained before, Bilgewater actually feels more responsive despite being an older 520 RP skin. The recall animation where he sits on the throne is pure flex material after you pop off in lane. And the voice lines about drowning your enemies just hit different when you're fed and running down their ADC. Is Bilgewater Swain worth it? For the price point, absolutely. It's not pay to win but the cleaner animations genuinely help with combos. My experience with Bilgewater Swain convinced me that sometimes the budget skins deliver more than expected. If you're a Swain main looking for something fresh without breaking the bank, this one's definitely worth grabbing.
