Beast Hunter Draven completely changes how aggressive you can play in lane, and after 150+ games with it, I'm convinced it's actually giving me a slight edge. The primal aesthetic isn't just for show, the animations genuinely feel more responsive than base Draven, especially when you're juggling axes during intense trades.
The Q axes are where this skin really shines. They're these massive bone weapons that are way easier to track in teamfights compared to something like Primetime where I'd sometimes lose them in the visual noise. His W feels snappier too, probably because the animation is cleaner when you pop it for that movement speed burst. And the ult? That prehistoric spear is impossible to miss, which helps both you and your team track it better. During a baron fight yesterday, I managed to snipe their ADC through three bodies because I could perfectly see where my ult was traveling, something I struggle with on Soul Reaver.
Compared to other Draven skins like Gladiator, Beast Hunter just feels less clunky overall. The auto attack animation cancels are smoother, making it easier to maintain perfect CS while harassing. Is Beast Hunter Draven worth it? For 750 RP, absolutely. It's not quite pay to win, but the visual clarity on the axes alone makes catching them more consistent, especially when you're fed and juggling three at once.
My experience with Beast Hunter Draven has been nothing but positive. If you're a Draven main or even just learning him, this skin will make the champion feel more intuitive. The Prehistoric Hunters theme might seem cringe but good once you're popping off with those satisfying bone crunching sound effects.
