Battle Wolf Yasuo feels like playing a completely different champion after spamming 80 games with it this month. The Q animation has this snappy wolf bite effect that makes last hitting feel more responsive than even High Noon, which I mained for two years straight. Where Spirit Blossom makes your tornado look floaty and unclear, Battle Wolf's howling wind wall actually shows you the exact hitbox edges when you're trying to block that crucial Jinx ult in a dragon fight.
The E dash through minions has probably the cleanest animation cancel I've seen on any Yasuo skin. Last night I was getting dove under tower by their fed Irelia and the E dash felt so smooth I could weave between three caster minions and still auto cancel into my ult perfectly. My tornado landed right as she Q'd in, and the wolf transformation during Last Breath made it obvious when my armor pen kicked in. And that's compared to other Yasuo skins where sometimes you're not sure if your ult even went off properly in messy teamfights.
Is Battle Wolf Yasuo worth it though? At 1350 RP it's not cheap, but after testing it extensively I'd say it's borderline pay to win for how much clearer the ability indicators are. True Damage might have better sound effects and PROJECT has that sick recall, but Battle Wolf just plays smoother. The wolf theme grows on you too, especially that backing animation where you meditate with the spirit wolves circling around.
For any Yasuo main who's tilted from missing crucial tornados or messing up their combos, this skin actually helps your mechanics feel tighter. Worth every RP if you're serious about climbing with the unforgiven.
