Battle Queen Gwen

Battle Queen Gwen completely changes how her kit feels compared to her base skin, and after 90+ games I'm convinced it's actually worth the 1350 RP price. The pink and purple effects make everything pop off visually, but more importantly, the animations feel way more responsive than Space Groove or even Cafe Cuties.

Her Q needlework has this satisfying metallic snip sound that makes CS'ing feel cleaner, and the visual clarity on the cone is insane. You can actually see the exact range without guessing, which matters when you're trying to poke through minions. The E dash feels faster too, probably because the animation cancel into auto attacks is smoother. But what really sells this skin is her ult. The waves are bright pink with these crown particles that make it super obvious where they're going, both for you and enemies. I remember this one dragon fight where my team was getting destroyed, but I could perfectly track my ult waves through all the chaos and managed to snipe their fed ADC who thought he was safe behind baron pit.

Is Battle Queen Gwen worth it compared to other Gwen skins? Absolutely. Cafe Cuties might be cuter, but Battle Queen gives you actual gameplay advantages. The W mist is less clunky visually, making it easier to position around its edges during tower dives. And that recall where she sits on the throne? Pure tilt material after you diff someone in lane. This isn't pay to win exactly, but the clearer animations definitely help in teamfights. If you're a Gwen main deciding between skins, this should be your first pick. The Battle Queens theme fits her perfectly and you won't regret it.
