Battle Academia Garen

Battle Academia Garen caught me completely off guard when I pulled it from a hextech chest last month. After 50 games with this skin, I'm honestly shocked how much it changes the entire feel of playing our Demacian boy compared to his other options.

The Q animation feels way more responsive than base Garen or even God King. When you pop Decisive Strike, that golden sword glow is instantly recognizable, and the sprint animation actually makes you feel faster even though it's the same movement speed. His E spin has this crisp blue energy trail that's probably the cleanest visual indicator for your hitbox I've seen on any Garen skin. During a baron fight yesterday, I managed to position perfectly between their ADC and support because I could actually see exactly where my spin would hit, something that always felt muddy with Rugged or Steel Legion. The ult is where this skin really shines though. That anime-style sword drop has zero delay between cast and impact visually, making it way easier to time those executes when enemies flash at the last second.

Compared to other Garen skins at 1350 RP, this one's definitely worth it if you're a regular Garen player. It's not pay-to-win exactly, but the cleaner animations genuinely help with timing your combos. And the recall where he does homework is just insane quality for an Epic tier skin. My experience with Battle Academia Garen has been nothing but positive, and I've actually started picking Garen more often just to use it. If you main him or play him regularly, grab this over God King unless you really need the villain indicator. The clarity advantage alone makes climbing with Garen way less tilting.
