Astronaut Gnar

Finally grabbed Astronaut Gnar from a chest after seeing it pop off in pro play last split, and honestly it's become my go to skin after about 50 games. The space theme completely changes how his abilities feel compared to other Gnar skins, especially when you're trying to clutch those crucial teamfights.

The Q boomerang has this satisfying rocket trail that makes it way easier to track in messy dragon fights. His W proc sounds like a laser blast which helps me count stacks better than base skin ever could. But the real difference is his ult animation feels more responsive somehow. Last night I caught three people with a Gnar ult at baron pit and the impact crater effect made it super clear where everyone would land, letting my team follow up perfectly. Compare this to Snow Day Gnar where the snowball theme looks cute but sometimes blends into Anivia walls or Braum shields, and Astronaut wins every time for clarity.

After testing it extensively, I'd say this skin sits perfectly between cosmetic and slight advantage. The cleaner animations definitely help in lane when you're trying to CS while managing your rage bar, and the transformation into Mega has this countdown timer vibe that makes timing easier. Is Astronaut Gnar worth it though? For anyone who plays him regularly, absolutely. The 1350 RP feels justified when you consider how much clearer everything reads in teamfights. My experience with Astronaut Gnar convinced me to keep maining the yordle, and I'd probably recommend grabbing it next time it's in Your Shop if you're even slightly interested in picking him up.
