Astronaut Corki

Picked up Astronaut Corki from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock UFO when I play him. After about 35 games though, this skin's grown on me in ways I didn't see coming.

The Q feels way cleaner than base Corki and even compared to other Corki skins like Red Baron. Something about the missile trail makes it easier to track in teamfights, especially when you're trying to poke through minion waves. His W package animation is probably the best part though. During a dragon fight yesterday, I managed to zone three people just because the jet trail looks so threatening that they backed off harder than usual. And the ult rockets have this satisfying thunk sound that makes last hitting with them feel more responsive. The whole space theme works better than I thought it would on him.

Is Astronaut Corki worth it compared to his other options? For 1350 RP it's not exactly budget friendly but the animations alone make CSing feel smoother. I'd still say UFO Corki has better clarity for competitive play since the hitboxes seem more obvious, but Astronaut definitely isn't pay to win or anything. The recall animation where he floats around is pretty insane too, though you'll rarely see the full thing in ranked.

My experience with Astronaut Corki surprised me as someone who never buys skins. If you're a Corki main looking for something fresh or you catch it on sale, it's solid. Maybe not essential like some other champion skins but it makes those long games where you're just farming feel less tilting. Worth grabbing if you play him regularly.
