Astronaut Bard

Picked this up from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Snow Day or Elderwood. After about 35 games though, Astronaut Bard has completely changed how I play certain matchups. The Q feels way more responsive than base skin, especially when you're trying to thread those pixel-perfect stuns through minion waves. Something about the space portal animation just makes the hitbox clearer for both you and enemies.

The real difference shows in teamfights around dragon pit. Had a game yesterday where we were behind and the enemy Yasuo was fed out of his mind. My ult animation is so distinct with this skin that my team instantly recognized the engage timing without voice comms. We turned that fight purely because everyone could see exactly where my ult was landing thanks to the space station effect. And the meep autos feel smoother somehow, probably just the sound effects but I swear I can kite better with this skin compared to other Bard skins I own.

Is Astronaut Bard worth it if you're a support main who plays him occasionally? Maybe not at 1350 RP. But if you're spamming games trying to climb, the cleaner animations actually help. The W shrines are easier to spot for your ADC too, which sounds minor but makes a difference when they're tilted and not paying attention. It's definitely not pay to win, but there's something about the space theme that just clicks mechanically.

My experience with Astronaut Bard surprised me since I thought it would just collect dust. Now it's my go-to for ranked, even over skins I actually paid for. Worth grabbing if it goes on sale.
