Arcane Councilor Mel

Just hit 100+ games on Arcane Councilor Mel and honestly, this skin completely changes how she feels in teamfights. Been playing her since release and own every skin except Prestige, but this one's become my default pick even over Battle Queen.

The Q projectile feels way more responsive than base, especially when you're trying to poke through minion waves. Her W shield has this golden shimmer that makes it easier to track who's protected during chaotic dragon fights. And the ult? Insane clarity improvement. Last night we were contesting soul drake and I could perfectly see which enemies were getting knocked back through all the spell effects, something that's always been muddy on her other skins. The smoother cancel on her E makes those quick trades in lane feel less clunky too. Battle Queen might have better sound effects but Arcane Councilor wins on pure gameplay feel.

Is Arcane Councilor Mel worth it though? For 1350 RP it's probably the best competitive choice if you're serious about climbing with her. Not quite pay to win but the visual clarity definitely gives you an edge. My experience with Arcane Councilor Mel has been nothing but positive after spamming ranked all month. The skin aged incredibly well considering it dropped with Arcane season one. But if you're just looking for something pretty and don't care about the technical advantages, Battle Queen or Prestige might be more your style.

Should you buy Arcane Councilor Mel? If you main her or play her regularly, absolutely worth. The visual improvements alone made me pop off way more consistently. Just don't expect it to fix your positioning if you int on cooldown.
