Academy Ekko

Been spamming Academy Ekko for about 120 games now and honestly, this skin hits different than I expected when I first grabbed it. The whole preppy school vibe seemed kinda cringe at first but the animations actually feel cleaner than base Ekko, especially when you're trying to CS under pressure.

The Q throw feels way more responsive compared to something like PROJECT where the wind-up can feel sluggish. But what really sold me was how the W bubble looks in teamfights. Had this insane dragon fight yesterday where I could actually see my stun field through all the chaos, something that gets lost with True Damage's flashy effects. The ult rewind animation is probably the smoothest cancel I've experienced on any Ekko skin, and I've tried most of them. When you're fed and need to dive their backline, that split second matters. My experience with Academy Ekko showed me it's not just cosmetic, there's actual clarity advantages here.

Academy as a series gets slept on but this one's worth the 750 RP if you're an Ekko main. Compared to other Ekko skins at this price point, you're getting better visibility without sacrificing style. The recall animation where he checks his watch is clean too, nothing over the top but fits the theme perfectly. And the chrono effects on his abilities still pop off without being distracting.

Is Academy Ekko worth it? If you're looking for a skin that won't tilt you with unclear animations while still looking fresh, absolutely. Should you buy Academy Ekko over something like Sandstorm? That's a no-brainer. This skin's become my go-to for ranked and I don't see myself switching anytime soon.
