League of Legends May Get Voice Chat

League of Legends developers may add team voice chat to the game. The hint was discovered by dataminer SkinSpotlights. On his personal X page, the content creator posted a screenshot of code from Riot Games’ MOBA, which revealed a new type of report.

Players can now report someone for “communication in voice chat.” Additionally, hints about the ability to switch voice channels were also found. At the time of publication, the developers have not commented on the rumors.

Voice chat in LoL is currently only available for premade parties. Team chat for random players has never existed in the MOBA since its release. However, rumors about the feature appearing have been circulating for several years.

In 2027, Riot Games will globally overhaul League of Legends. With the upcoming patch, the title will receive a new launcher, updated visuals, and will become more accessible to newcomers.
